Twin sisters and founders of Nudnik – a company that designs and manufactures eco-friendly children’s clothing using 100% upcycled material that would otherwise be destined for landfills.

After working for their father’s waste management business, twin sisters Alex and Lindsay Lorusso knew they wanted to combine their inherent passion for the environment with their love of fashion.

In 2016, the girls founded Nudnik – a unisex line of children’s eco-friendly clothing and accessories that uses 100% upcycled material that would otherwise be destined for landfills. Adult sweatshirts and t-shirts are dissected, sewn and screen printed with fun designs to create unique pieces for kids.

Nudnik has taken off in the few years since being launched and has been featured in media sources like Today’s Parent, CBC News, Toronto Life, the Globe and Mail and many more. The girls even received a letter from Sophie Grégoire Trudeau expressing “respect and admiration” for their work.

Alex and Lindsay credit their Catholic education for preparing them for a successful future and giving them faith that hard work will yield a positive outcome. “In everything we do, we look to redefine possibility, consciousness, and the bonds between our children, loved ones and our Earth.”
